I know JHU is one

Have you been out of HS for more than 5 years?

Depends on your circumstances, particularly your age, how long you've been out of high school, and your program. Can you be more specific?

I'm a sophmore in college and I'm 18

NYU, JHU, Georgtown after 5 yrs i think, some schools in cornell, many of the state schools down (ex cal, ucla, umich, uva) <---after 2 years, ... im sure there is more....

UTexas only looks at college GPA, as long as you have like 30 or 32 creds.

NYU doesn't require SAT's after what point? I am a sophomore, and took the SAT in high school.

How difficult is it to transfer into JHU?

SAT I or ACT scores if you have taken these standardized tests previously; (if you haven't taken either test, you do not need to take one now.)

^^^^Cornell's website....I think they are really trying hard to say that it is optional ^__^ Please tell me Im right

So NYU CAS has the same policy as Cornell basically correct? If you've taken the SAT previously in HS, you must submit them, if not, do not submt them..am I right?

well yeah...but what if you have taken them but do not wish to submit them? lol...

What I'm saying is if you've taken them in HS you have no choice but to submit them, its a requirement. Can someone confirm this please? (for NYU CAS)

How competetive is transfer admissions to JHU? I have a 3.0 HS GPA and 3.84 College Gpa. lab research/volunteering EC's.

Yes we definitely need confirmation for the above. Everything else for me looks fine except for my SAT scores...

NYU and Cornell both require the test if you've taken it in high school. Whether they're capable of finding out if you're lying or not is hard to say, but obviously if you're transferring from a school that required them for freshman admissions (many schools) and you don't report any scores they may look into it further.

that is true

To add to my previous post, if you have bad SAT scores and are concerned because most top schools require standardized test scores, I would highly recommend looking into schools that accept test scores received while in college and then give the ACT a try. The majority of top schools will accept test scores from college.

I had a 1350 SAT (decent, but not very good for top schools) but ended up taking the ACT and scoring a 34, which was the only score I sent to schools where tests taken in college are admissible.

Brand, you go to Wesleyan in CT?

this September. I like to think ahead. I just transferred there from Montgomery Community College.

I see, I live in CT and my cousin goes to Wesleyan so I've been there a couple of times to party. It is small compared to UCONN but nonetheless fun.

you're very lucky. :) I'm visiting for the first time next month.

what? u picked a school u havent even seen? lol
