<p>I've seen threads like this before, but I've never really seen any definitive answers, except for the usual stuff like the UCs.</p>
<p>Basically, the strongest part of my application is my SAT score. My GPA, extracurriculars, essay, etc. aren't at all "weak," but since my SAT is the most "flashy" part of my application, I'd like to consider the schools that weigh the SAT score heavily in the admissions process to maximize my chances of getting into a good school. </p>
<p>All help and advice is appreciated.</p>
<p>A lot of colleges below the very top tier will be delighted to enroll a student with strong test scores. I know of students at very adequate state universities that full tuition, room, and board merit scholarships, along with offers of research assistanceships as an undergrad, based in the first instance on test scores (although the scholarship recipient I know best had other things going for him too). <p>I believe public state schools emphasize test scores most often. In California, the UCs do not, as their application policies look at the "whole you," whereas the CSUs look more closely upon your GPA and standardized test scores (there aren't any essays or whatnot).</p>
