schools that encourage double majoring

While nearly all colleges allow double majoring, most usually discourage it for many students, esp. engineers.

So...which schools actively encourage (or seem to encourage) their students to double major, other than UC Davis and CWRU.

Rice and Wash U are 2 schools that encourage double majoring.

University of Southern California

Like blackeyedsusan said, Washington U in St. Louis strongly encourages double-majoring.

They have a whole section of their website devoted to combined studies, and they spoke extensively on the issue in an information session that I attended.

It is easy to double major (and even pursue a double bachelor’s degree) at Northwestern.

Most LACs encourage double majors.

Carleton College has something like 4 classes and one big research paper per major.

The University of Miami is also great for double majoring. My daughter is actually triple majoring in Biology/Marine Sciences/Chemistry.

She can do this becuase Miami is great about giving you credit for your APs. She received 38 credits for her APs and most Sophomores start the year out with only 30-32 credits.

Really?..my perception is that they tend to discourage double majoring due to the extra stress or the lack of a liberal curriculum.

Washu and Northwestern (something like 30% double major at NU)

OP, Just two quick examples I found: Kenyon 23% double major, Amherst 31%. That doesn’t sound like discouragement.
