i have no idea where to apply OOS. im a florida resident, im applying at UCF,FSU,UF, and U Miami

SAT:CR+M=1310 (retook in oct. projected score is 1370-1410)

ive taken 4 APs throughout HS
varsity track 3 years
varsity cross country 3 years
Enviro Club: 1 year
Foreign Lang Hon:1 yr

So what schools should i look into? what would be some of the best possible ones?

What’s your entire SAT score?

I’d say that USC would be a pretty decent reach. NYU would be a good reach as well. Those are low reaches, so yeah.

what are “reaches” and “low reaches”? sorry im new to this board

Its ok.

Safety-Really likely you could get in as your stats are way above the schools’ average.
Match-Your stats are pretty much in the middle and you have decent shot at getting in.
Reach-Your stats are below the schools’ average and you have an unlikely shot at getting in.

Low Reach means that you’re sort of hovering around the middle of Match and Reach.

And actually, NYU places little emphasis on the writing section, so you look like a decent candidate.

Safety – a school where you will most likely be admitted based on your relative stats, ECs, etc.
Match – a school where you have a decent chance pf being admitted based on your relative stats, ECs, etc.
Reach – a school where you have a slim chance of being admitted based on your relative stats, ECs, etc.

High safety = low match
High match = low reach
High reach = practically impossible

thanks for the feedback:)
would i have any chance at a school like UC Berkeley?

^ Check the admission policy. I think they discriminate against out-of-state students (most public schools do).

I doubt you have a shot. Like a ~15-20% chance.

Do you need financial aid? You really have little chance at UCB. State of residence is rated as highly important in their decision and only 5% are from OOS.
