Schools that "like" National Merit SFs

Well I was just notified (albeit, unofficially) that I made NMSF, and I was wondering whether there are certain schools that like to "collect" them? I know some schools like to brag about how many national merit scholars they have (for example, Carleton College, a highly ranked liberal arts school), and thus having NMSF on the application must have some weight when applying to them. Does anyone know of any of these schools?

Edit: I do of course realize that national merit does not make or break one's application, as it is based on one test. I am simply wondering what colleges would give more thought into national merit than other schools.

Alabama likes to “collect” National Merit students. It currently has over 500 on campus. They get free tuition, free housing, a laptop, study abroad money, and some money.

Many schools have National Merit scholarships, including quite a bit of full rides or full tuition. I know Fordham gives full tuition (that’s just one I’ve been looking into).

There is an official list of schools with how many national merit students they have attending. I’ll look for it.
