Schools that place a heavy emphasis on class rank?

<p>I'm in a large public high school with an UWGPA of 3.55/3.6, eh. (weighted is 4.5ish but that's irrelevant). </p>

<p>My class rank is in the top 3% despite the low GPA. (rank is actually based off of weighted). </p>

<p>So I was wondering, what good schools place a heavy emphasis on class rank, hopefully even more so than GPA?</p>

<p>Right, I somewhat remember seeing that schools like UTAustin and UTDallas don’t consider GPA at all, just class rank. Are there any other top schools that do this?</p>

<p>I think most schools care more about your actual grades (how many As, Bs, Cs, etc.) than your rank, and more about your rank than your numerical GPA. GPA itself is pretty meaningless without context, since it varies so much from school to school.</p>
