Schools to avoid for CS to avoid foreign language requirement

<p>DS is set on studying computer science, and dead set against taking any foreign language courses in college. (C++ doesn't count as a language). Here is where he is considering and avoiding so far:</p>

<p>Applying
CMU -- has its own CS school so no FL requirement.
Cornell -- CS in engineering and no FL requirement.
Penn -- CS in engineering, which is the only school NOT requiring a language.
Rice -- CS is in engineering so no language requirement.
Northwestern -- CS in engineering and no language requirement.
Columbia -- CS in engineering but too many humanities so not applying.</p>

<p>Avoiding
Boston U -- only offers BA in CS in college of A&S so language is required.
Duke -- appears to require FL in Trinity where CS resides, even for BS degree.</p>

<p>I hate foreign language too. Spanish gave be two B’s in my high school career because my teachers sucked.</p>

<p>[Kettering</a> University](<a href=“http://www.kettering.edu%5DKettering”>http://www.kettering.edu) does not have a foreign language requirement.</p>

<p>(Full disclosure: I’m a professor at Kettering.)</p>
