Schools to transfer too.

Can somebody give me some colleges to transfer too.

College gpa: 3.42
high school gpa:3.6
sat:1000/1600
ecs:volunterring, extra school job, german club

I have applied to nyu, but I'm scared I won't get in. So anybody have any suggestion. Schools in nyc, boston, chicago. I probably getting a 3.7 for my mid term grade.

your post is very ambiguous, hard to give you a clear cut list...

your sat is poor(sorry to be harsh) for NYU, no matter the school. you gpa is also relatively weak at the moment, but hopefully you'll get it past 3.5 as you mentioned. Aim for a 3.6+ gpa for nyu, however it varies by school, ec's, sat, etc.

Andale and wayward_trojan have great threads up top, so take a look at those to gauge your transfer chances at similar schools

I know. I wished i did better on the SATS. If i do get my gpa higher. I'm scared my scores are what are going to do it for me. I mean I got into Baruch, I might go if i dont get in.

Can't you take your SATs again, or apply to schools that don't require the SAT?

I asked nyu if i should take my sats again. they told me i dont have too because it wont matter on my decision.

Interesting, are you applying as a jr transfer?

No i told them i was a freshman applying for soph transfer and i specifically asked should i take the sats again cause i did so bad on them. The guy told me you dont have to because we'll be basing it on your college grades.

Thanks, just asking because it doesn't jive with the "conventional wisdom" we all espouse here. Maybe NYU is unique or maybe schools vary more than we'd like to think. It's a mystery ;). Good luck to you!

Thank you. Crossing my finger that i get in.

NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Transfer Applicants > General Requirements

you have to send the SATs, just not the SAT subject tests

¿Dónde está tu en este momento - colegio de cuatro anos?
