<p>^ Actually, the more competitive campuses (UCB and UCLA) generally tend to deemphasize test scores. I think they mainly look at your grades; the reason why they have the “eligibility by examination alone” is more to allow good students to apply even though they didn’t fully complete the a-g subject requirements. If you also look at that chart, the only kids who can apply that way are those with really good scores. </p>
<p>Also, keep in mind those are eligibility requirements to apply, not to get admitted. How you get admitted is very much holistic.</p>
