schools where you can have a vocal performance major and with a robust english (writing) program

<p>and strong in english - that is, robust enough to have the std comparative lit writing as well as more creative writing and ideally cinema studies / media writing</p>

NU - applied ED - REJECTED! she’s bummed and went into a funk so we might be asking for next yr or on the slight change there is something still a possiblity for this yr., or for an assessment of what we did apply to this yr. music was a sort of late factor, I think . so I thought I 'd ask the question in this forum better late than never.</p>

That’s true. For instance Yale does not have a vocal performance major, only music. But that doesn’t stop people from coming out of there with the ability to make it in voice. My former choir director went from Yale to Juilliard and sang at NYC Opera and the Met. My point is narrowing the search down to only VP may not be the best thing.</p>

<p>I immediately thought of UMaryland College Park from which a distant niece graduated last year. Excellent program in vocal performance. They also have a strong creative writing program. Here’s a link to the vocal major:</p>
