Schools with a left wing bend.

I've already asked for some assistance regarding the, for lack of a better term, preliminary college hunt, but now that I've a better idea about my "ideal" college, I was wondering if anybody could help me match some schools to these characteristics:

The school should be pretty liberal (e.g., friendly LGBT community)

Small, preferably nothing like the size of colleges like NEU or BC; preferably an LAC

Within NY but I'll consider going OOS if the area is nice and the school is (somewhat) generous with financial aid

At least some diversity regarding ethnicity (Although not an entirely important factor)

And finally, and somewhat obviously, I should stand some sort of a chance at admissions with my stats

1900 (possibly 2000) SAT I score
90.0/100 GPA
Decent ECs
Great letters of recommendation
Presumably great essay

Thank you!

Vassar (reach)
Bard (reach)
Eugene Lang
SUNY Geneseo

How far of a reach do you think Vassar and Bard are for me? Do you think a SAT score of at least 2100 would increase my chances by any noticeable margin?

Haha, first thing I thought of was New College of Florida, until I saw the “within NY” part.

As for the above, raising your score by 200 points would certainly help.

Suny Purchase, Suny New Paltz, Sarah Lawrence, Drew (NJ/good with merit money), Clark (MA) and Goucher (MD/good with merit money). Best of luck!

Vasar College
Wesleyan University
Sarah Lawrence College
Lewis and Clark College
Beloit College
Earlham College

Far outside NY, but it fits your other criteria: Macalester College in MN

Very liberal/activist, very generous with financial aid, very diverse. And possibly doable with your stats (way more possible than Vassar, Wesleyan, etc.).

Thank you, guys. I’ve had my eye on some of the colleges already mentioned and I’ll definitely do some research on some of the ones that I didn’t know about.
