<p>well, I know UT-Austin offers undergrad research because my husband did it. Also, we were at dinner with my Syracuse daughter's roommate's parents, who live in Austin, and the dad is a math prof at UT. His dad was a chemistry prof at UT, and my friend's mother told me that UT has a strong history of their provosts originating at UT as chemistry professors. I thought that was interesting. I think my husband's former UT undergrad research sponsor is now (or was) provost, or that's what the mom told me.</p>
