Schools with Development Economics Majors/SOAS

<p>What are some schools with good development economics majors? I live in the U.S., but I have been looking a lot at the School for Oriental and African Studies, mainly because I have an interest in Africa.</p>

<p>Also, for those who know anything about British schools, how does SOAS compare with U.S. colleges? And how exactly does SOAS specialize in African related degrees? Even if I can see myself going into a career specializing in African affairs, would I still be better off going to UCLA or another UC (I'm a California resident)?</p>

<p>At Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service you can major in International Political Economy with a concentration or certificate in International Development. There is also a regional studies major for Africa with the same ID certificate.</p>
