Schools with dual degrees in business/engineering?

I have been pretty set on majoring in business for a while now, but recently I've been considering engineering as well. However, I don't want to abandon business in favor of engineering, so I'm considering dual degree programs that have both. I applied ED to UPenn's M&T program, but that is extremely difficult to get into so I have to prepare as if I will not get in. What are some other schools that are very strong in both business and engineering that offer a dual degree program between the two? There doesn't necessarily need to be a specific program so long as there is the ability to receive degrees in both. Also, schools where the dual degree program could be completed in 4 years would be preferable.

A little search using google will pull up several search sites that will help you narrow down your choices.

Will you be coming in with lots of AP credits?

The problem that I see is that an eng’g major usually requires MORE credits than other majors. Each semester is sequenced with little room for extra classes, much less an unrelated second major that’s in another college.

Unless you’re coming in with lots of AP credits, I’m not sure it’s possible w/in four years.

Well, I’ll be coming in with AP Physics B, AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C E/M, AP Calculus BC, AP Gov, AP Macroeconomics, AP French, AP Lang, and AP Lit.

Lehigh – great program

Well, I’ll be coming in with AP Physics B, AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C E/M, AP Calculus BC, AP Gov, AP Macroeconomics, AP French, AP Lang, and AP Lit.

Very good. You didn’t take any AP history, Chem or Bio classes??

So, if you attended a school that gave generous AP credits (some schools won’t), then it looks like you’d be coming in with about 35 semester credits (depending on the school). The Calc and Physics credits free up 4 semester class spaces (Calc I & II, Physics I & II). The AP English credits free up 2 more spaces (frosh comp I & II). And, you’ve freed up a couple more spaces with the humanities and social sciences.

However, I still don’t see how you’d get a complete second major in 4 years in another college, when one is an eng’g degree. I don’t think the LeHigh program is two degrees. I think it’s one degree, an integrated program.

What about an eng’g degree and a minor in business?

IEMS + econ + Kellogg certificate

[Special Programs, Minors, and Certificates: Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences : Northwestern University](http://www.iems.northwestern.edu/undergraduate_program/programs.html)

http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/certificate.aspx

You might check into the Raikes School at University of Nebraska Lincoln. It’s an honors program, where they get a minor in computer science and business, and choose their own major, including an engineering major or business.

My school makes it very difficult to take more than two AP science classes, and I went with both years of Physics. I was taking AP US History but dropped out because of the workload.

What other criteria do you have? There are lots of engineering + business school options.
