I’m a sophomore in high school, this year I’ve taken AP World, AP Biology, Honors English, Honors Geometry, Anatomy/Physiology, and Advanced Theater, and I’m in an online course, I have straight A’s in those but got A’s Bs and a C freshmen year. I want to major in Sociology possibly be pre med. Next year I’ll have to dual enroll at my community college due to moving schools, the school I’ll be attending doesn’t offer AP. I grew up with a single mom, two siblings, homeless on and off, and a father in prison. I’m in Tucson so University of Arizona would nearly pay a full ride but I want change, and out of state. My GPA is around a 3.8, with my GPA and major choice and definite financial need what do you think some good schools would be? I’m considering Colgate University in NY I’d like to go to University of Washington it would mean debt, possibly Upenn but I’d have to do better . I took extra science as an elective, I’m big on theater and I’m logging up community service hours, I can definitely get letters of rec and write a good essay. I want to go to a smaller school but not tiny. Any ideas of other ones? Also what dual enrollment classes should I take?
You’re a sophomore – don’t pick specific schools yet.
However, for something like premed, where you’ll have to take out mucho loans later, almost nothing beats zero debt.
