Which schools have an excellent English department? Milton is known for its writing oriented curriculum and has a well known English department. What about the other schools? People on CC praise the Math curriculum at Exeter. But I've also heard that it has an outstanding English and humanities curriculum. Do you know of any schools that would be a great fit for aspiring writers?

Middlesex is very proud of its writing program, as is Loomis Chaffee. Personally I think both have very good writing programs, thought a lot of the things you find out come AFTER you've enrolled in the school (there are quite a few connections with NE college professors apparently. I could be wrong, maybe this is separate from boarding school, but my "first and a half" interviewer told me this. long story on the first and half thing.)

Personally I think whatever school you go to it's pretty damn good. Like, it's like Harvard and Yale. Is Harvard's law program that much better? Is Yale's program that much better? Is Harvard's English department that much better? Is Yale's?

Yah...

Middlesex has an incredible writing program. I received a an informational packet about it.
