I'm looking for schools with a multimedia computer science/programming focus. RIT has what sounds like a great program called "New Media Interactive Development" which focuses on graphic design, photographic imaging, video, publishing, programming and information technology to develop skills in interactive media and web technologies.

Are there other schools that offer similar programs geared to computer science and programming with a focus on various medium and technologies?

Actually, as good or better than RIT is Univeristy of Cincinnati. They have an amazing digital design program with 6 quarters of paid coop built into the program. It is a combination of web design, animation, and special effects design. Kids have had coops with David Copperfield, movie studios, big web design houses etc.

MIT has the Comparative Media Studies major. It’s about the study of media itself, not programming, but you could easily major in computer science and minor in CMS (this is quite common), or double-major, or do a joint (“Course 21E”) major (“Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Humanities with focus in Computer Science & Engineering and Comparative Media Studies”).
