My dream job would be to work in the music industry. I want to be involved in the business side of things such as booking, concert production, marketing, etc. I have read about a couple of schools that offer a music industry program but I am trying to broaden my search. Does anyone have info about any school with a program specifically for music industry?

Surely there is a list to be googled…USC, NYU, Belmont

How about contacting the internship directors at music business companies (venues, talent management, etc.) and ask them what programs they like? Which interns seem to come to them most prepared?

Cal State Northridge.

As a “dark horse,” consider University of the Arts in Philadelphia. They have a relatively new “Music Entrepreneurship (or Engineering), Business, & Technology” major. My son has some good friends in the program, who enjoy it. They have a fair amount of scholarship funds available, and Philly is a lively, affordable city for young, creative types. Also, as a safety, look into Columbia College Chicago.
