Schools with prominent forensics/debate teams?

<p>I'm a senior, looking around for colleges, and I've got a pretty decent list, but I can't seem to find any list of schools with very serious debate teams. Debate is a large part of my life and I'd like to continue it in college. Can CC help?</p>

<p>The University of Alabama (the flagship) has a nationally acclaimed debate team. The Forensics Council is the official competitive speech organization for UA. **The student teams have won 16 national championships ** and are considered among the premier speech groups in the country.</p>

Student members of this council participate in the University’s forensics program and attend both regional and national intercollegiate forensics competitions in debate and individual events. Thirty scholarships are awarded each year to students active in the program.</p>

<p>In addition to attending state and national competitions, the University of Alabama hosts two tournaments each year…</p>

<p>In addition to the above-mentioned scholarships awarded by the dept, the university also awards large scholarships to students who have high stats who apply by Dec 1st. </p>

<p>The Alabama Forensics Council is consistently ranked in the Top 10 of the nation.</p>

<p>Harvard, Yale, Emory, Michigan and Northwestern are the most prominent in Policy and Parliamentary Debate.</p>
