<p>Well, semiserious, you better not be serious on this topic. Stanford's student body is actually very good looking relative to the academic rigor of the university. Just compare it to MIT, Caltech, Harvard, etc.</p>

<p>After reading these posts I have realized that many of your perceptions are way off. </p>
<p>First -- Cornell and Yale do not have high percentages of hot girls. Brandeis? Who the hell is picking these schools. You have to be kidding me.</p>
<p>Also to whoever said "My S only thinks intelligent girls are good looking" -- i find this hard to believe.</p>

<p>BTW, I agree with college2332 that Yale doesn't have a high % of hot girls because I went to see their Top 50 Most Beautiful Article and there are much hotter girls whom I associate with here in HS (and you'd expect University to be better)...</p>

<p>Hmm...They definitely aren't bad-looking by any means, but I have to say there are better looking girls at my high school.</p>
<p>UVA is consistently rated #1 in nation for fit people. that includes the girls.</p>
<p>also, that magazine doesn't represent the campus as a whole. when i visited yale they have all the portraits up in the buttery of the residential college and i wouldn't consider them an attractive school. Further -- the guys seemed to be better than the girls as a whole, which is just more competition. Yale may have more attractive people than say Harvard, but I think its ridiculous for someone to post that they are a good-looking school.</p>

<p>Remember, good looking on the outside and on the inside are two different things. This sound mushy, but I am talking about STD's. There are tons of hot girls on my campus (Texas Tech) but we have a very high std rate and all these girls will turn to leather as they approach 40.</p>

<p>Have you ever actually visited an Ivy League school? I've been to several of them, including many visits to Harvard, and at every one of them, in fact every college I have ever visited - Ivy or otherwise, there are plenty of good looking young women. There is nothing about being smart that precludes being hot and vice versa.</p>
<p>It's a fact of life - there are lots of good looking people (and lots of not so good looking people) EVERYWHERE you go in life. That is just the way the world works.</p>

<p>My son attends an Ivy League school, and the girls I've seen are truly lovely -- not only beautiful, but they seem to be both nice and smart. I don't know how any of the guys can focus on their work.</p>
<p>yeah there are a lot some good looking ppl but i think what Jvhowube is talking about is the percentages.. lets be serious no matter what you say the percentage of good looking ppl at say harvard or mit(extreme case) is not the same as say usc or IU-bloomington or whatever</p>
<p>CMU would be an exception but ill agree with you on the ivies.. there are enough that it shouldn't be a big deal.. its not arizona state or texas-austin but ull find the intellectual good looking ppl that are also going to be successful in life.</p>
