Thanks!

generally, you should simply go to the best college you can, overall. They all have good psych departments. Depends somewhat on your specific interest:
biopsychology
clinical
social
child
educational
sensation/perception
motivation/emotion
learning/behaviorism
and so on.

psychology is one of the most popular majors. all good schools will have very good departments, particularly on the undergraduate level. as collegehelp says, go the the best college/university you can get into and odds are it'll have a very good psych dept.

Erm, I have no idea about the specific field in psychology.
So is there any colleges recommended for me to apply for ?
As I am totally blank about which college should I go.
Thank you.

Gourmen ? LACs ? Rugg's recommendation ?
I am sorry but can you please explain more about this ?

Gourman Report is a ranking of good large universities for psychology.

Rogg's is an unranked list of good small liberal arts colleges (LACs) for psychology.

Oh, okay !
That is pretty informative for me !!
Thanks a lot !!!
But are the lists above arranged according to the places in the rank ?
etc :1. stanford
2. Yale
and so on ?

a little surprised that Clark University has not popped up on any of these lists.....anybody???

All Top Schools (T25) and Ivies will have good Psych departments. You may want to check out what kind of psychology you want to do, for example for CMU is #1 in Cognitive Psych (due to its relation with cs)

Same here. Also, I've heard that Muhlenberg has a strong Psychology program, as well.

What about clinical psychology ?
Which universities are among the best for this course ?

CMU is #1 in Cognitive Psych (due to its relation with cs) ?
erm, does anybody mind to explain CMU and also CS ?

Besides, can anybody please kindly list out T25 ?

Thanks a lot.

I heard there are categories for universities : 1st tier, 2nd tier, and also 3rd tier. Is it true ?

And if it is true, so what universities are in the following tier ?

you're not going to find clinical psychology, or any other specific subfields as an undergrad. those rankings for specific programs are all for the graduate level.
take a look at individual schools course offerings; you want to make sure they offer a breadth of classes in a variety of subfields. also see if there are opportunities to do student research, internships, off campus field work.
