<p>This may sound kind of pathetic, but I simply cannot spend another three years here. What schools have the highest acceptance rate? I want to make sure I'm going to get in at least somewhere. I would prefere prep schools, but at this point, I'll go anywhere I can get into.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, many admissions offices are judged by how many students they get to apply and many schools are judged by how few people they accept. This encourages a culture where admissions offices may encourage students to apply even when they have no chance of getting in. Other schools, and these tend to be the smaller schools, particularly ones with small admissions staffs, cannot handle a large number of “no-go” applicants so they will help a family to determine their suitability during the course of the inquiry process and won’t encourage applications, (may even offer suggestions of more appropriate schools) if they sense that the student isn’t a good fit or isn’t likely to be accepted.</p>
