This isn’t too popular, but I’m refusing a local school.

George School: 9th grade

Concord Academy: 9th
(FA waitlist)

Great thread…anyone not accepting Exeter?

I’m rejecting St. Andrews, Concord, and possibly Cate. Might go to Choate.

Jfirr: what school are you going to instead of PAA?

I think I’ll be turning down Milton, 9th.

Anyone not accepting Deerfield?
@yellowubi: that was an example, I have not heard from Andover so I assume rejection :/

If I get off SPS waitlist, then I’ll be rejecting deerfield.
So we’ll see; anyone declining SPS?

I am definitely, categorically rejecting those schools that have rejected me, and you know who you are.

extra luck to you ohxwowxlovely, it could mean SPS for you and DA for my s :)

@jfirr2011… not really. When someone decides not to go, it doesn’t free up a space for someone on the waitlist. Let’s say the school has 200 spots, and a yield of 80%. They would accept more than just 200 people, to accomodate for their yield. So, many people would have to decline for even one space to become available. Then, there is gender, ethnicity etc. etc. to consider.
