Schools you are turning down to come to chicago???

Notre Dame: Too many "raging conservatives"
University of Washington: Low in reputation.
Boston College: ****ing the Jesuits.
Berkeley: I would rather die than going to a public school.
UCLA: Same deal.
UCSD: Same deal.
NYU: I am too afraid of another terrorist attack after the War in Iraq.
USC: Too hot, not my type.
Carnegie Mellon: Only people who go there know anything about it.
Bowdoin: Old, but unfortunately not one of the Ivies.
Emory: Yet another "raging conservatives" school.
TCC (Tacoma Community College): It is for retards.

You live in Washington? Where?

Meng, you're such a friggin elitist piece of crap.

"I'd rather die than go to a public school", wow...

That's just effed up...

hahahah...

Emory is definitely not a place for "raging conservatives" Meng. It's actually very liberal even though it's in the South. Most people that attend are from the Northeast or California, so it's actually more of a northern school in the South. Next time please don't use baseless statements to tell us why you turned down a school.

dude why did u apply to all of those schools if you didnt think you would be happy at like any of them?

"Berkeley: I would rather die than going to a public school"

Berkeley didnt want you anyway

He's a troll, but it's ok. Hopefully some of you guys will be able to deal with him this fall. Too bad I've already had messages from UChicago '10 students telling me that they're already sick of Meng's attitude.

Good luck fellaz!

I would've been fine going to any one of my schools, if not particularly ecstatic. I'm so excited for September! Anyone else buying stuff already?

I got in EA and didn't apply to any of the schools I was considering, so in theory I turned down Chicago for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Tufts, and Binghamton.

I mean.... I turned down all of those schools for Chicago.

After visiting Yale I was turned off by it a little, and you couldn't pay me to go to Harvard or Princeton.

The other schools I like more. I have an enormous place in my heart for Bing :-D

If thinking that helps you sleep at night, go right ahead :-)

hehehehe I mean there's no way in hell I would have gotten into HYP....

oh people here may be happy that I did a "High Fidelity" today-- I practically shouted at a lady that was buying a US News and World Report College guide

oceanblue, I hope that question wasn't directed at me :S and if it was, I'm sorry for replying so late.
I don't know a thing about Tufts. And Barnard is a great school - great sense of community there.
..Er, that's as much as I could say. But good luck with your decision!

ohh yeah I read ur post on Thickenvelope hahah... quite funny
