Schools

Need business undergrad schools.

GPA 3.8
SAT 2200
ACT 33

So Far I have

Penn (REACH)
UVA (MATCH)
NYU (MATCH)
James Madison (SAFETY)

Live in Southern VA. Like 15 minutes from NC. Need a lot of help!! I want to apply to at least 10 schools. If they are out of state I will probably need financial aid.

Richmond. Top 20 business school (according to BusinessWeek). Strong alumni. Private school tuition, but offers full need and you could use state aid.

With your stats, I'd look at more top schools (often generous with financial aid) like Emory and Georgetown.

Isn't this kind of a no brainer? In-state tuition for UVA. Most people wish they could receive in-state tuition at such a good program. If you receive grants to go somewhere else, then obviously consider the programs. Otherwise, I don't understand the dilemma.

Yah, if you don't get into Penn, Carnegie Mellon, or MIT, then Uva is the place to be. Hell, even if you do get into those spots, UVA is STILL probably the place to be. hahaha

Not sure I'll get in. My school consulor think I will, but idk. The 3.8 is weighted. I took almost all honors/AP/College Credit Classes 10th and 11th and am planning to as a senior. If my grades go as planned I should have a 4.3 weighted @ the end of the year.

What is your unweighted gpa?

its like 3.7 my school weights things really wierd. Its straight As 10th grade up and 3 As 3 Bs 1 C my freshman year. 2 AP classes 4 Honors 8 College Prep.

I think Business week had UVa as the number two undergrad business school. I would think UNC-CH, Emory and NYU would be pretty good too.
