Looking at Schreyer's as a possible school. I'm in state, so the cost would be totally worth it, but I've heard Schreyer's is a mainly math/science program, so as a potential International Relations major, it may not be the best. Is it mostly math/science, or is that just a rumor?

Yeah that is not true. There are a lot of science/math majors within the Schreyer Honors College but it is not limited to just them. Liberal Arts and related majors majors also have a large presence.

Also, “Schreyer” isn’t a school. It is the honors program through Penn State. You need to be accepted to Penn State first in order to be considered for selection for this competitive honors college.

Yah… Penn State has lots and lots of majors. Trust me… you have a lot of options to choose from. All of them are very good. Schreyer Honors College gives you first dibs on the “honors” level courses that have a limited amount of seats. You also get to do a thesis… and have honors housing.

Was looking into international studies as part of my program and the University of Pittsburgh and its honors college seemed very impressive as far in-state schools in Pennsylvania. ([Univ. of Pittsburgh: University Center for International Studies](http://www.ucis.pitt.edu/main/)) Actually liked it a lot better than PSU, but I also prefer more urban environments as well and am also interested in pre-med.
