Schreyers Chances? 1st Generation

I'm the first person in my family to go to college and sometimes I feel that Schreyers would be a more comfortable alternative to an competitive Ivy League School. Does anyone agree with me?

How do you think I'd fare with my Schreyers application? I felt my essays were very strong and my letters of recomendation.

I applied back in November (long before the deadline) and have already been accepted to the Regular University.

Hey, looking over your stats you look to be a very competitive applicant for the Schreyer Honors College. Your GPA and class rank is high and have taken some tough HS classes. You are also in numerous ECs with leadership, another plus. If your letters of rec and essays were good than I think you have a really good shot at it.

The SHC staff is blind to your SAT scores so they will not aid you in your application.

I also agree with you on SHC over an ivy. SHC adds an ivy experience to an already great university with a cheaper tuition. I found being a science major and a SHC scholar has given me the opportunity to get a research position in a lab in my major as a freshmen, a pretty common thing among many SHC serious science majors.

msg me if you have any questions about the Schreyer Honors College in general.

btw I agre with you on AP English Lang- worst AP of my life and I am not looking forward to my honors eng comp class next semester.

Your stats are very close to my S and he was accepted last year into Schreyer.

write some solid essays and you’re in
