Are those who got their letters all in PA? We live in NY and my daughter hasn't gotten hers yet, so I was wondering if it was just the mail being slow or if she didn't make it.

Yankeegirl49 ~ We're in Philly and we have not heard anything. I'm pretty sure my son will get in, so I think it is just the mail. Expect something today or tomorrow, in my opinion.

Thanks so much, I'd like to say I was sure my daughter would get in, I know she has the stats, but if I've learned one thing from these boards, it's that anything can happen. Good luck to your son.

stats on those accepted so far??

well . . . my stats might be a bit misleading as far as typical accepted person (by the way I'm the daughter of OhMother above). But here you go:
1600 SAT
NMF
4.0 uw, 4.72 w
SAT II: 750 Physics, 780 Math IIC, 790 Literature
APs: U.S. History 5, Calculus BC 5, Physics B 5
Lots of music ECs, including All-State and All-Eastern Vocalist and PA Governor's School for the Arts
um, last semester I took vector calculus from PSU, I don't know if that had anything to do with it . . . ?

but anyway, I definitely didn't have ANY non music ECs. I live in State College and so far I've heard of about 20 people from my school who are in, and they range all over the spectrum. I know a guy who got in who had a 1350 SAT, an ok GPA, and not that many ECs. so it really varies, I guess it all comes down to the individual applicant. good luck! I hope everyone gets in. also, no rejection letters have been sent I don't think; at least, we haven't gotten any here. there are still people on pins and needles waiting to see if they maybe sent the acceptances in two mailings.

Congrats on stats mdrn...wow 20 people from your school..that only leave 280 slots for everyone else

Accepted in NY! :)
700v/710m/800w
93 gpa

I'll post more later.

Son was accepted today!
800V/790M/760W
3.9/4.6 gpa
13 APs and 8 college courses so far. Many math/science awards.

Congrats to all....We aren't home yet to get the mail, but fingers are crossed that the letter is waiting.

Glkecon2, you're reading this wrong. There are 300 slots for incoming students, but they have to accept MANY times that amount since people decline the offer.

I didn't get the letter today :-/
Someone in NY got the letter, and I'm 4 hours away in PA and I didn't get anything :-(

Oh well, one more day!

ride.....I always forget about that acceptance/attend factor. I doubt my DS ends up at PSUP even if he gets the Schreyers....so many other schools (with equal or better programs) are offering him Instate and $$$merit

Well, D got her letter and she didn't get in. Not the end of the world as she has gotten into other programs with merit $$, but she is a little upset as this is her first rejection. PSU will probably still be on the list but may have moved down a little. Good luck and congrats to all!

rejected. this is so disappointing. congratulations to all who got in though!
