When I was on a tour of Dartmouth the tour guide named the top ten majors, and I believe only one of them was a math/science major. I love both the humanities and the sciences, and I'd like to go to a school that has good departments in both. Is the smaller size of the math/science classes a plus or a minus?

i would say it’s a plus … you get a lot of relatively personal experience with your profs, which puts you in a very nice position with regards to getting good recs and chances to do really good research.

Lots of math. Lots of science, especially engineering. Lots of opportunities to “modify” your major with something else. My son is majoring in engineering, modified by studio art with a concentration in architecture.
