Science AP Credits at Georgia Tech

Hi guys, I’m going to be a freshmen this upcoming fall at Georgia Tech and I couldn’t be more excited! I looked around on the Georgia Tech website and found two important links:
http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/academics/undergraduate/credit-tests-scores/advanced-placement-exams/
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/academics/degree-programs/bachelors/computer-science/core

I see that Georgia Tech only requires three life sciences, so my plan is to take Physics 2211 (required) and then to take two chem courses (to satisfy the sequence requirements). I got a 4 on chem last year, so I was wondering if that means I could skip Chem 1211k and only have to take one chemistry class, or if that means, I would skip Chem 1211k and then take two higher level classes. Furthermore, I am anticipating a 5 on the Physics C mechanics exam - would this waive the physics requirement or would I have to take a higher level physics class to satisfy that?

All help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

My understanding is that you would get credit (not advanced placement), so your scenario is to complete 3 sciences with a sequence of either two physics or two chemistrys:

AP Chem (4) - CHEM 1211K credit (could also have taken SAT II Chem subject test (680+) for credit)
CHEM 1310 - since you got a 4 vs 5, can take SAT II Chem subject test (730+) to try for credit

AP PHY-M (5?) - PHY 2211 credit - if you get a 4, you can take the GT physics placement test for credit
AP PHY-E&M (5?) - PHY 2212 - if you get a 4, you can take the GT physics placement test for credit

Hope that helps! (but I would verify with GT Admissions)

Some schools like Princeton, give less AP credit and instead give advance placement, aka college politics.

Congrats on your admission to GT!
