I heard that any science classes (AP) are A LOT harder in college than school. so If u want to complete a Science (AP) credit for college and get it over with.....is it better to take in high shcool? I takin Environmental Science AP...does it count? or does it have to be like BIO AP, CHEM AP, or PHYSICS AP?

AP environmental doesn’t count for anything at UT… i got a 5 and got no credit at all. and yes, all the science classes are definitely harder at college than in high school, and the labs are much more time consuming. get as much out of the way in high school as you can.

Dang…that suxs! That means I gotta take bio AP next year.
If we don’t take a Math (Calc BC) during our senior year, will that affect my admission? cuz I don’t have room thats y.

Probably not, it just means you’ll have to take it here. I took AB and BC, so I didn’t have to take the first half of the class. But if you have just AB, it really doesn’t matter.(you can either claim credit for AB and take one semester on the 2 semester calculus plan, or AB and BC and take one semester on the 3 semester calculus plan, so either way you take 1 more semester).

Math is harder, in terms of work, but it really depends on the teacher as far as the tests go. My math tests are extremely easy, where as my high school math tests were harder. But physics is MUCH harder than AP physics in high school.

O, ur takin Physics in college?
But I thought if u already took AP physics, ur done w/ the science course…Or do we have to take once more?

i’m at UT and my advice would be get your physics credit for sure in high school, as the physics department here is very hard and the labs are very time consuming. also try to get as much calculus out of the way in high school as there is a high chance you will not get a good teacher here (i have a terrible one for calc 2 right now). i would get these classes out of the way before bio, as bio doesn’t really require a good teacher, you mostly have to memorize alot of stuff and the concepts are very simple.

I took AP Physics B in high school since C didn’t fit my schedule, and I am an engineering major, so you have to have C. If you have both semesters credit from physics C, and your not a physics major, you don’t have to take any more physics.
