Currently I am split between science and art.
I am looking for colleges strong in both.

Science in areas such as zoology, environmental science/studies, ecology, biology.

Studio Arts, preferably with a decent music program.

Colleges we are looking at are Grinnell, Colby, Rochester, Virginia Tech.

-Poor grades. Only 3.5
-Good SAT 1400/1600 or 2080/1400

What I am afraid of is encountering a hostile monoculture.
However, I like the hipster crowd better than the preppy.

I prefer my jerks artsy rather than malicious.

Colby seems like a nice place to attend, Grinnell seems to be lacking variety in their course offerings, Rochester appears diverse anyway (no real qualms), Virginia Tech is where my smart friends who were smart enough to avoid the academically unblemished squares in UVA go.

I guess what I'm looking for is a wide variety of viewpoints, not constrained by a majority set conservative/elitist vantage.

Help me or something.

We are currently investigating colorado college.
cornell would be nice... but with a lack of... excellence... yeah.

I have started a club for indigenous culture and art. If that helps.
Honors societies, Latin club...
Consistent top three placement at Virginia State Latin Convention for art...
not much else. various sports...
Crew for two years. Cross country for one.
Symphonic band for one.
Art for three.

Took Landscape Architecture 160 course at University of Maryland for three hours of credit.
Received an A.
