<p>Ive been a longtime lurker and finally decided to get an account..lol. My question is are sciences valued at penn as highly as business. Everyone seems to think Wharton when they first hear the name Penn, and it seems there is often a distinction made between Wharton and Penn. Does anyone think Penn is as reputable in the sciences?</p>

<p>Quite simply: it absolutely is reputable in the sciences (both premed AND in nursing) for the simple fact that its surrounded by 4 hospitals and gets ALOT of money in science research.</p>
<p>I'm pretty sure the biology program is really good. That's what I wanna do.</p>
<p>we have the #3 med school and are #2 in receiving national institutes of health funding...</p>
<p>so our med / bio / bioengineering programs are great</p>
<p>And then you've got the wistar institute on campus</p>
