Got an email and had a phone interview today–they have to make their decisions by the 21st of February, so we should all know at the beginning of March.

For the record I just got another acceptance email, and had to turn it down as I was officially accepted to the first lab… it sucks having to turn down such a great opportunity… at least others will get to do it!

Do they send email as not accepted? Or by March 1st week we don’t hear from them we should assume that we haven’t got accepted. I haven’t got any response from them. Also I am not sure yet if my recommendation went or not. I asked teacher 3-4 times to send recommendation and now feeling odd to ask again.

I also emailed them and got the same response that they would come out starting this week. Haven’t gotten anything else yet though. I applied the the two laboratories in Philadelphia

Hey guys! @ecolocation, I applied to the NPS and the North Island Base. Haven’t gotten back a response yet.
Does anyone know how we could send in our SAT 1 or 2 scores?

My son heard from ONR on Friday. I don’t think SAT scores had to be submitted–at least not yet. I’m pretty sure I would have been asked for my credit card if they had to be sent!

@NexusQuiga … I just realized that if you applied to North Island Base, you probably applied to a different NPS (isn’t North Island Base in Florida???). We heard back from ONR in Monterey, CA.

@hitoya01 We don’t live close enough to commute. It’s pretty easy to find places to stay since Monterey is a big tourist destination, but it’s also expensive. The stipend covers housing costs with some to spare, so it’s not like it’s going to cost any money.
