<p>Hey guys, unfortunately I didn’t get in. Congrats to all of you that did though! @echolocation, I applied to tehe Nacal Air Systems command at North Island, CA. Again congrats to everyone that got in!</p>

<p>@somanywindows I got into the Philadelphia laboratory. My best friends dad runs the program at that lab and one thing I can tell you is that classes and the essays are the more important areas. Don’t worry if your extracurriculars are not sciency or you haven’t won any awards. Just make sure that you take solid classes, get good scores on the SAT and PSATs and make sure your essays are good. If you brag about how many activities you do it is not attractive, but if you discuss how hard you work and your passions then your chances will be great</p>

<p>@hitoya01 I looked on Craigslist Monterey. There are several places to check … room/share wanted, apts/housing for rent, sublets and temporary, and also sublet/temp wanted.</p>
<p>I applied to the two in Philadelphia and got rejected. ): I have a rigorous schedule, thought my essays were pretty good, good scores, good recommendations, etc. so I don’t know what went wrong…</p>
<p>You made the poor decision of not networking with ASEE or the laboratory HR people. That’s even more crucial than your classes, because if they don’t know you they probably won’t accept you.</p>
