<p>Generally it's held that the BCPM is somewhat more important, but not overwhelmingly so. This would imply that your AO GPA is in the range of 2.8, which is probably low enough to cause our hypothetical "you" some considerable difficulties.</p>

<p>Just curious, what type of difficulties do you mean? "Most people with a 2.8 in non-science courses will have a hard time on the med-cat, with interviews, with a personal statement/generally isn't as intelligent as one needs to be to get into med school" difficulties, or "Med schools won't like an AO GPA that low" difficulties?</p>
<p>The latter. An AO GPA of 2.8 would imply multiple C's, assuming that this is still one's GPA during an application cycle - enough that they're no longer really the exception to the rule.</p>
