When I submitted my application, I didn’t mention any of my science olympiad awards because they are all regional and I didn’t think they were worth mentioning. However, I recently found out that my teacher had said that I had won state science olympiad awards on her recommendation. Will this affect my application in any way? And Should I send the college that I applied to additional information including my regional awards?
Nothing wrong with mentioning regional awards. Also, if the teacher mentions them, but you don’t it should not be a big deal.
Side note: Surprised your teacher showed you her recommendation…
It isn’t an issue that the teacher noted the award and you didn’t. In fact it is nice for you that it got mentioned. No worries.
@CollegeMan91 Some teachers do choose to show their recommendations to students. It is a bit unusual but not unheard of.
