<p>Are you sure…I’ve heard different things about whether you can do that. If I talked about it in a essay, it was a very moving experience, would it increase my chances? My other EC’s are average for a top school, I want to separate myself, and I think this might be one way to do that.</p>
<p>From what I’ve seen on these forums, the answer most people would give you is that you can’t put it as an award or really put it in any of the categories on the application. You can, however, feature it in an essay and talk about it. </p>
<p>Anything before high school is irrelevant to the non-essay parts of the app, sadly.</p>
<p>Writing about it in your essay might not be the smartest thing to do, seeing as it might give the impression you don’t have anything memorable from the high school years to write about. However, putting it in a chronic essay about your love or passion for science might be better suited.</p>
<p>I would work out a way to fit it in.</p>
