I have lots of schedule conflicts this year and I have to narrow down my classes between online AP Environmental Science and online Physics. I’m taking 3 other APs. I’m a senior and I’m still working on college apps and I’m planning to become a Visual Communications or Communications major. I really want to go to UW, USC, UC Davis, or NYU. My GPA isn’t very high (3.7 UW) and I consider science to be one of my weaker subjects. That being said, I have taken AP Calc AB, Chemistry, Honors Biology, and Physical Science freshman year.
Colleges typically like to see a year of biology, a year of chemistry, and a year of physics. I would suggest you take physics. Is there any chance you can get a face-to-face class? How will you do labs online? Is there another class you can take online in lieu of a science class so you can take a face-to-face science class?
Physics Lab would be the major concern.
Agree that physics would be the better choice if is a lab class – that way you can complete a sequence of biology, chemistry, and physics which many colleges look for.
