Science Research?

I'm beginning my science research project this year except I have no idea for a topic.

Any good topic ideas? Thank you so much I have been dying trying to think of some.

And why would we give you (the competition) our ideas?

No one forced you to reply to this thread, let alone look at it.
Not everyone on College Confidential is in high school in the science research competition.

which brand of paper towel absorbs the best. you can use different substances, like water, lemonade, and soda. good luck!

^ I prefer the classic baking soda volcano. It’s a sure shot for becoming an Intel Finalist.

lulz maek a soler sistem modul 2 sho how it werks

^ I am partial to the experiment of whether a plant grows better by listening to rock or hip-hop music.

^ Been there, done that. Soul music yields about a 23.67% greater increase in plant growability than the second leading music type, reggae, which yielded a net income of about 4.2 inches of plant stalk, which translates to a little over 10% gain. Hip-hop resulted in an overall loss of structure and the plant wilted after the 4th day. Listening to rock made it just sit there, and so strange enough the plant did not grow at all. Sadly, listening to rap killed the plant. =/

No, no. How about if plants grow faster in hot pink pots rather than plain brown ones?

You simply can’t choose you exact topic for research, but only by areas. The best way to choose the research interest is by consulting professor research interests by your area and if you’re lucky, he/she accepts to be your mentor. Most often the exact research question is chosen by your mentor, not you.

Make a computational model of human thought processes and see if you can come up with anything interesting. If I were to compete in a science fair, this is what I would do. Alternatively, make a model of conversation. Or program a robot to play a computer game! If you’re even allowed to do that.
