Ok..I know I have kinda asked this question before, and I appreciate all of you answers, but I still am in a dilemma. I was planning on taking bio, but now I am thinking of chem cause it looks better for engineering or sometimes is required...(physics is not really an option)...here is my background

9th Grade- Biology- A
10th Grade Chemistry, Honors - A
12 Grade (this year)- AP Biology

I have pretty much the same knowledge right now in Bio and Chem. I need to take the SAT II in Dec. (and I might take it again in Jan). Which one should I do? Can I just study from a few prep books for chem? I will self-study like crazy if I have to. Is this possible. I need a 750- 800. Please help.

The answer is really very simple. Find out if the colleges recommend specific tests first. If they prefer chemistry, take chemistry. If they prefer bio, take bio.

If you get to pick, pick the one you're better at. And you don't need a 750-800. But if you do self-study like crazy, you'll probably do well.

Most colleges don't really prefer Bio over Chem or vice versa. If you're applying to engineering programs then many of those do require the SAT II in Chem or Physics. But if you aren't applying to engineering, I'd go with biology because you are taking AP Bio this year and that is definitely going to help on the test.

Thanks...But is it possible to self-study for either test...my school really dosn't have much expereince with SAT II, particularly Science ones. I was just wondering if anyone has done this, or if anyone has an opinion of one being easier to study for than another. Thanks
