I have taken the science section with and without timing myself and my scores differ alot. Without timing, i score 30+ but with timing... eh.. 22. I actually always have a problem with time when I take any tests, not just the ACT.
So do you guys have any suggestions or techniques that I can use to speed myself up? Maybe only read some part of the passage and skip others? Because I tend to read the whole passage before looking at the questions.

Thanks in advance!

First of all- never practice taking the ACT science section without timing yourself. You need to become more comfortable with the time restraints. Second, you should continue taking practice tests to see what strategy is best fit for you: some people like to read the whole passage quickly then answer questions while some like to skim the passages and then answer questions, and others just skip straight to the questions.

Yeah i’m doing that now and I keep getting the same score! I always seem to leave one or two passage unfinished and I just keep having trouble with time. Ugh, its so frustrating! I take time reading the whole passage and then i take even more time deciding my answer.

dont read the passage, try to answer questions by just looking at the graphs // skimming paragraphs if needed

trust me its possible
