can anyone tell me what to do to improve the science section as it is my weakest part of my test, thanks

The sci sec. is not a test of sci., but a test of data interpretation. I had no idea what their graph was talking about until I got 3/4 of the way through the questions, but still got a 33 just by being able to "read". They also test on experiments and differing points of view. In my opinion, the questions were more of common sense logic and ability to guesstimate than a measure of actual ability.

take as may practice exams/sections as you can

It's all about confidence. Just realize the the questions are ubelievably simple. You just need to go at a fast rate. I went from a 29 to a 35 on science by just increasing my speed, which mainly resulted from changing my technique. Don't read all the crap they give you. Go straight to the questions and then refer to the information to find the answer you are looking for.

^
EXACTLY! Esp. don't bother reading the crap they tell you as "background info" unless the question requires it. The trick with the ACT is it tests your ability to think, not your ability to earn good grades in school (Which the SAT makes a really terrible attempt at doing)

''Which the SAT makes a really terrible attempt at doing''

no....the SAT does a better job of testing your ability to think more so than the ACT.

i used the barrons act 2007 book..and my science score went up 6 points

Duh. Of course the ACT does a worse job of it. The ACT clearly states that they don't try to test your ability to think. If the SAT did a remotely good job of testing ability to think, you wouldn't need to study for it. Dum dum dum.
