Somebody told me the Science section was the most important, and it is the only section that corresponds to the SAT...since the Science is the reasoning section. So, what do you guys think? Is the ACT basically a super short SAT with the Science being really important?

Not correct. Many rely mainly on ACT composite so science is no more important than others. Many consider the math and English section more important than the other two sections. There is no college I am aware of that considers science the most important of the group. In fact, there are actually engineering colleges, Rose-Hulman and Georgia Tech are two I am aware of, that ignore science, reading and composite and rely solely on math and English section.

ACT and SAT are two different tests and one is not the "super short" version of the other. The ACT has more time pressure to finish the sections than the SAT.
