Science Sequence for Pre-Med with Non-Science Major?

Hi!

I'm going to enter this fall and major in Human Communication Sciences.

This means I'm going to have to take a couple Comm classes, and I'll probably take Calc.

I'm going to apply to the Mt. Sinai Humanities program after freshman year. It requires that I take Physics/Orgo there over some summer. What is the normal science sequence? And should I put off those 2 sciences courses early? I realize chances are extremely slim, but I mean just to be on the safe side I might. I'm not sure.

Thanks for the help!

you are going to apply to a combined ba/md program after your freshman year at northwestern? that is what i understood …is that possible?

Oh no sorry I should clarify. I’m just going to try to apply to this program that allows early acceptance for non-science majors. There’s a very low chance of admission, so I’m not in anyway counting on it. If accepted though, I’d go after my four years at undergrad.

The typical pre-med student at NU takes Gen Chem freshman year, then Bio and Orgo sophomore year, and Physics and upper level Bio courses junior year. Bio and Orgo together is required of Bio majors, but is pretty much the worst thing ever. You can’t take Bio before Orgo (unless you do the summer sequence of Bio, which is intended for non-major pre-meds).
