Can someone acheive a 25+ on the science section of the act without knowing almost anything about chemistry, biology, and physics?(assuming that someone can score 25+ on the other sections aswell)

You can score a 36 without knowing anything about chemistry, biology, or physics. All you need to be able to do is read and interpret graphs, understand the scientific experimentation process, and recognize controls/variables in the experiments. That being said, it’s a lot easier to skim passages and do well when you’re familiar with the information beforehand. I think you should definitely be able to score a 25+; just take practice tests (or at least practice science sections) to become more familiar with the questions they’re going to ask. Good luck!

It does help some to have some science background, but you really do not need any to do well on the ACT. A person that does not know any chemistry, biology, physics, etc. could definitely get a 25 or higher on the ACT science portion. Good luck.
