Sciences at BU?

So BU is one of my top choices, i visited in the winter and really liked it… but my tour guide happened to be either an english major or education major or something like that; not quite what i was hoping for, because he spent all of 10 seconds talking about how the science classes are hard and nothing more.

so my question is, how are the science programs (specifically physics, biochem, and engineering)? are there any substantial research opportunities?

Research: [Research (Boston University, Physics Department)](Physics)

Undergrad Research: [Research by Undergraduates (Boston University, Physics Department)](Physics)

Junior year program at CERN and Large Hadron Collider: [News (Boston University, Physics Department)](Physics)

All liberal arts majors think that science classes are hard. Imagine what an english major thinks of multi-variate calculus!

All engineering programs have strengths and weaknesses. I’ve elsewhere noted that you can look at asee.org for a lot of information. Go to Publications and look on the left.

well yeah, of course an english major would think sciences are hard  but do bu students normally get accepted by top-ranked grad schools?
