I've heard that science at Georgetown is pretty lame, because there's such a strong presence of political science/international affairs/humanities people that science (biology/chemistry in particular) kinda falls by the wayside. Is this true? Any comments?

Yeah, I heard that too. They say Science at Georgetown is totally ridiculous. Don’t know if this is true… Haha.

I’m wondering if its Science at college is that bad, how can its medical school rank in the top?

no, the sciences at georgetown do not fall by the wayside. a very excellent premed program (something like 80 or 90 percent get into medical school on their first try), an early admission program to Gtown medical school, and they are in th emiddle of buildin ga state of the art new science center, which is supposed to be completed by the end of next year.

I don’t know who you’ve been hearing that from but the sciences here are very rigorous. I’m a Human Science major in the NHS (pre-med) and its very tough. The statistic is 90% get into med school (but this is after many many people drop out over the 4 years). Also, as rainbsprinkles mentioned, a new science building is being built and is scheduled to be ready for the Fall 2012 semester.
