Does anyone know anything about Sciences Po in Paris? I looked at the website and am a little confused on how to apply as an American applicant.

Aside from the application process, are there any extracurriculars like sports or clubs? I know European universities are very different than American ones, but how?

Also, if you could recommend other European colleges for good political science and study abroad opportunities, I'd really appreciate it.

I’m confused, do you want to go there for a year abroad or as a full time student? I didn’t know they offered courses in English, do you speak French?

Getting in : I’m livin’ in Belgium but I know some people who tried/or are currently attending, a Sciences Po University in France. What I know is that it is probably one of the most competitive school to get in, at least in France. Most of the time, people spend a year after high school to prepare for the entrance exam to Sciences Po. I don’t know what courses you took (or are taking) during HSchool, but it might be a good idea to so, too.

Sports : I think that extra-curriculars are pretty same there than here, so you will probably find sport facilites inside the campus, but nothing serious like in the U.S. Sport is there only to relax, there’s nothing such as inter-colleges competition (never heard of any).

Recommendations : don’t really know, there are plenty of good Sciences Po colleges in France, most of them are well-known. In Belgium it’s not really the same, and as for other European good colleges for politcal sciences = never heard of any…

Samual, I’m asking about applying as a full time student. I speak French but I’m not yet fluent, but I’m pretty sure I will be by the time I apply. (I’m a sophomore)
