I got into UCD as a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major and recently UCSD as a General Biology major. I've heard that both schools have strong programs for the chosen majors but I was wondering if anyone has any advice/information as to which one is better between the two? Thanks!

I'm wondering this as well! I'm actually still waiting for Davis... but if I get in, I want to know which biology program is stronger, etcetc.

I know that San Diego is pretty awesome for science and that there are a lot of biotech firms in the area (where you can get internships/research, I assume). I haven't really heard anything about Davis though.

UCSD is one of the top ranked science schools in the country.

how does SD compare to LA though, biochem major, how long does it take to grad after transfer

I'd be willing to give SD the edge academically for biochem, but overwhelmingly LA for overall academics and school life.

As far as how long it takes to transfer, pull up the general catalogs of both and see what you'd need. You can probably do it in 2 years

UCSD is way better in those fields, but if you take other courses seriously, you might be disappointed.

what is that mean?

It's hard to take Latin if you go to UCSD.
